SkyVue Outdoor TV's Complaint
SkyVue Beware
After 2.5 years the TV Screen went blank. Warranty is only 2 years. Yeah.
Called and had to send in photos, took tons of email and calls to follow up to get a response. When they did call back the customer service manager Matt Meadows was geared up and ready for a fight before I even said a word. The script that it was due to an electrical surge from my house - was well rehearsed and you could tell that it was their standard out. I have 7 TV's in my house and in 10 years of living here, I've never had a surge or electrical issues with anything.
He encouraged me to ship it back to him and they'd take a look at it and do as much as they could without it being under warranty (shipping $250). After a few weeks of follow up, Matt dished me off to a sales rep who called and tried to sell me a new TV.
Don't Do it... Don't Do it... Three of my friend got them after I got mine based on my decision, I'll feel horrible if they run into issues too.
All they had to do was Fix my TV or send me a new one. I spent almost 4k on a TV that lasted 2.5 years. I'd encourage you to give your money to someone that will stand behind their quality.
